Death Q&A, Saying Goodbye in VR

We don’t tend to allocate a lot of space for Bereavement and there is a great deal to grieve for.

We are also pretty good at distracting ourselves from our own dying, but Death is really in our face these days and it’s much harder to swat away than usual.

I have created events for both of them. Bereavement and Death. Death and Bereavement. Other People Dying. You Dying.

I lead with my strength — Death is the morning event

I still wonder before the virtual doors open if anyone will show up for an event named Death Q&A.

I think I need to err on the side of being Really Clear.

We get started on time with a few people. But the doors never close and avatars keep spawning into our Buddhist Temple World set high up in the mountains and I re-introduce the event when it feels like I need to. I tell them we’re talking about death and dying and stuff like that.
